Dubai

Travel bloggers are my favourite people to turn to for advice and recommendations when I’m researching a new destination. They offer a fresh perspective, and quite often answer the questions I’m searching for – especially when it’s for a city where the culture is so different, like Dubai.

Before I travelled to Dubai, I did a fair amount of research looking for the best guides to Dubai I could find. I turned to Pinterest, to Instagram, and of course, to blogs, to find the best places to go, where to eat and drink, what to do with my kids, and how to navigate the local culture while I was there.

To save you having to do incredible amounts of research, I’ve rounded up the best posts to create this travel blogger’s guide to Dubai.

Whether it’s your first time there, or it’s a destination you already know and love, you should find some great ideas and tips in here. From day trips to dress codes, here’s everything you need to know before you visit Dubai – in the words of travel bloggers around the world!

Malaysia

This Malaysia travel blog section is getting huge and with so many posts on Malaysia travel, we need to pull them all together in one page. We’re visited Malaysia seven times now between 2012 and 2019, visiting diverse areas and to be honest, it’s not our favourite part of South East Asia, but there are still plenty of cool things to see and do and the Malaysian people tend to be some of the nicest on the planet. So we’re able to share with you some Malaysia travel hints, tips, ideas and suggestions, mostly positive but some negative. We’ve had a few bad experiences in Malaysia over the years including theft, terrible hotels, an environmental disaster and a ferry breaking down. We joke about our ” Malaysia curse” and really, you couldn’t make it up. Everything that can go wrong for us in Malaysia, does.

We’ll start by listing our individual posts on destinations in Malaysia, further down the page you’ll find general Malaysia travel information. We include links and tips from a few other blogs and bloggers too, some of them were sponsored by Malaysia tourism and tourism Langkawi.

Goa

mong the stories of woe from mass tourism growth, we heard of pockets of Goa that had a better story to tell. Of eco friendly resorts in Goa that were trying to reverse the trend and offer a more sustainable alternative to the mass tourism in Goa. We wanted to find out if these stories were true.

We had other reasons for visiting, too. Ravi’s family come from south Goa, near Canacona, and so it holds a special place in his heart. We wanted to visit to see for our selves: if there was another side of coastal Goa to be discovered that had yet to be “ruined”. We wanted to see what options remain in Goa for the discerning traveller who cares about their impact.
